پای شکارچی یک ستاره ی آبی تابناک ، و درخشان ترین ستاره در صورت فلکی شکارچی است. در کنار استواست، بنابراین از تقریبا همه جای کره ی زمین قابل دیدن است. بنابراین، به آن "wriggle" نگوئید چرا که به صورت "rye-jel" تلفظ می شود.
گاکروکس
گاکروکس را می توانید در صورت فلکی چلیپا پیدا کنید. چلیپا به معنای صلیب است در اتین آنرا به عنوان صلیب جنوبی می شناسند. گاکروکس یه ستاره ی دوتائی است. ستاره ی بزرگتر یک غول قرمز است.
Albireo
Albireo is made up of three stars total. Here we are just showing the largest one. Two of the stars are close, and form a yellow dot. The third is blue and further away. The blue star and yellow stars are so far apart it takes them 100,000 years to complete one orbit.
Polaris
Polaris is known as the North Star. It is very near the north pole, so if you want to know which way is north, just try to find Polaris. Locate the two stars on the far side of the Big Dipper, and go upward.
Distance from Earth to the Sun
During the day, the Sun doesn't seem so far away. It's actually about 150 million kilometers away. That distance is an astronomical unit, which is called an AU for short.
Enif
Enif is an orange supergiant. Its name means "nose" in Arabic, because in the constellation Pegasus, it is in the position of the muzzle. Coincidentally, the word "Enif" backwards is "Fine".
دنب
دنب درخشان ترین ستاره در صورت فلکی ماکیان است. دنب در فاصله ی 1,500 سال نوری است، که آن را در رده ی 22 ستاره ی درخشان بسیار دور قرار می دهد. اگر بر روی مریخ زندگی می کردید، دنب باای قطب شمال قرار می گرفت – نه ستاره ی قطبی.
