Its towering figure, marked by its long neck and legs, sets it apart from all other terrestrial animals. But just how big is a giraffe? The average male giraffe stands at about 16-20 feet tall, roughly three times the height of an average human. Female giraffes are slightly shorter, averaging 14-16 feet in height.

  • That means that if a giraffe were to walk into a two-story building, it would have to duck its head! - If you were to stack three average-sized humans on top of each other, they would still fall short of the height of a male giraffe. The Japanese Spider Crab is the largest arthropod. However, not all Japanese Spider Crabs get to be this size. Some are only one meter across. Unfortunately, fishermen have killed many of them. That's a lot of crab meat!
Dracorex
A genus of pachycephalosaurid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous (around 66 million years ago). Its name, Dracorex hogwartsia, translates to \"dragon king of Hogwarts,\" inspired by its dragon-like appearance. Dracorex had a flat skull adorned with spiky horns and knobs. Though debated whether it represents a juvenile form of another species, such as Pachycephalosaurus, it was herbivorous or omnivorous and relatively small, around 10–12 feet (3–4 meters) long.
Tyrannosaurus Rex
This dinosaur is now extinct, but it used to be up to 7 meters long. Although the T-Rex was very large, it was not the largest! Zoom out a bit to see the largest dinosaur!
Apollo Lunar Module
This thing weighs 15,000 kilograms! That's a lot! It also landed on the Moon. Its landing inspired the arcade game "Lunar Lander” which is not easy. When I play, I always run out of fuel!
Maip
A genus of large theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous (approximately 70 million years ago) discovered in modern-day Patagonia. Named Maip macrothorax, it was a member of the megaraptorid family and measured around 33 feet (10 meters) long, and 11.4 feet (3.5 meters) wide. Maip was a fast predator, with large claws on its hands, slender legs, and a probable covering of protofeathers.
